World of Warcraft recently unveiled a new Twitch drop campaign to commemorate the latest Plunderstorm game mode. From March 22 through April 5, players have the chance to get the Fathom pet, adorned with gems, by simply tuning into four hours of World of Warcraft on Twitch.
In the latest update, Patch 10.2.6, World of Warcraft sprung up with a surprise battle royale game mode called Plunderstorm. This separate pirate-themed task provides enticing rewards for those who join the action.
However, players don’t need to engage in Plunderstorm to secure a particular prize. A new Twitch Drop is anticipated from World of Warcraft, celebrating the new game mode. Over two weeks starting on Friday, March 22, those who view four hours of World of Warcraft on Twitch can earn Fathom, a multicoloured crab pet loaded with treasure, reminiscent of Moana’s Tamatoa. Any stream in the World of Warcraft category is suitable, although many streamers will probably be playing Plunderstorm.
How to Get the World of Warcraft Fathom Twitch Drop?
- First, sync your Battle.net and Twitch accounts.
- From March 22 at 10 a.m. PDT until April 5th at 10 a.m. PDT, view any streamer in the World of Warcraft category for a duration of four hours.
- Retrieve the drop from your Twitch inventory.
- Log into World of Warcraft, go to the Pets category on the Collections screen, and unbox your new gift.
This is notably not the first pirate-themed Twitch drop witnessed in Dragonflight. During World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.7, fans had the opportunity to collect the Dashing Buccaneer’s Slops through Twitch. Characters in Plunderstorm sport a white and red version of this attire, offering early hints about the new Battle Royale mode.
Players can acquire numerous rewards in Plunderstorm as well. The game mode features an autonomous Renown path with 40 stages, each offering rewards, including pets, mounts, Trader’s Tender, and transmog items. Players can gain headway towards their rewards without winning a match; however, those who do become victors can receive a unique eyepatch and tabard transmog.
Patch 10.2.6. also brings more than just Plunderstorm for players. With different objectives, including a new World of Warcraft achievement granting Taivan as a mount, it promises added engagement. With the fourth season of Dragonflight approaching, players can expect plenty of content to fill their time before the next update rolls out.
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight was created by Blizzard Entertainment as the ninth expansion of the renowned massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft. With a revamped user interface, an increased level cap of 70, and a fresh race and class, Dragonflight introduces substantial novelties. This exciting chapter was made available to players on November 28, 2022.
